In mythology, Arachne was a talented weaver who was turned into a spider by the Goddess,Minerva, and thus she became the mother of all Arachnids, the worlds best weavers.

Some of you who already own this print or are familiar with it will notice a slight change in the name as of July 26th, 2003. Jacqueline had unwittingly mixed up two Greek myths in her mind, and when she realized it, made the change. The correct name of this piece is Arachne. Those of you who own a print with the incorrect name may find yourself with something quite valuable in years to come!
