There are a few ways to order ManeBags. The easiest is right here on this website through our secure online ordering system below. ManeBags come in two sizes, long and short. We recommend getting longer ones for horses with either very long or very thick manes. Short ManeBags are for horses with shorter, or finer manes. Basically, the bag needs to be able to fold in half with all the braid in one half.

The Bags also come in sets of eight. We recommend using 6-7 braids on the average horse, so this will give you at least one extra, because much as we love them, horses do like to do everything they can to make our lives difficult ( we think they do it for the entertainment value of watching us go all red in the face and start stammering.), and they will find a way one day to break all the strings off of a mane bag. You will need a replacement.

If you have a specific thing in mind that you do not see here, we are more than happy to accomadate you. For instance, say your Barn Colors are Purple and Black, and you'd like a fabric that has only those two colors in it, say a tie dyed look, maybe. Or perhaps you would like a baby blue solid color. Please order your Custom ManeBags using the Button below and fill in all questions. We will do our best to find the closest pattern or color matching your needs. If we cannot find it, we will email you to discuss alternatives. Do bear in mind that we have to use a certain type of fabric to make ManeBags and not all patterns and colors are available. Be open to slight variations. But if there is something you absolutely do not want on your mane bags, let us know so we can be sure to avoid it. Perhaps you detest sunflowers, or maybe the color green makes you ill...let us know. Also be sure to let us know whether you want these bags to be more masculine or feminine. There are no returns on Custom Orders, so give us as much detail as you can.

Some ideas for custom manebags include baby fabrics for pregnant mares, a daisy pattern if your horse's name is Daisy, barn colors, stars and stripes to show your patriotism, etc... We suggest getting two sets to start with if you can afford it, just in case your horse is really bored and finds a way to break the strings, rub a hole in the bag, or otherwise destroy most of your bags, leaving you without enough to bag all the braids, and gee, don't you know he's gonna do it right before a big show when you want his mane to be in tip top condition, and you just know, sure as the sun will rise, that he'll get his mane caught on the one loose wire in the paddock and rip out the entire middle section if you don't have the bags in.

Shipping charges are $2.00 per set, which is automatically added to your order by our shopping cart, plus a handling fee per order of $4.00, in the U.S., $8.00 to Canada, and $12.00 to other countries. We ship via US Priority Mail or UPS depending on the size of your order.
